On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Chinese Youth Pioneer Association (CYPA) of the People's Republic of China. The ceremony took place in Room K101, Chalermprakiat Building, Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, Phaya Thai Campus.

The signing ceremony aims to establish a framework for academic and research cooperation between the two institutions, leading to the development of mutually beneficial collaborative activities in the future in education, research, and international academic events. The ceremony was honored by the presence of executives and representatives from both sides, including Associate Professor Dr. Prasit Suwanlert, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Assistant Professor Dr. Chanan Liewchalermwong, Deputy Head of the Department of Mathematics; Professor Emeritus Dr. Yongwimon Lenaburi, Director of the Centre of Excellence in Mathematics (CEM) and Senior Advisor to the Department of Mathematics; Associate Professor Nartthida Tumraswin, Deputy Director of the Centre of Excellence in Mathematics ; Associate Professor Dr. Chontita Rattanagul, Head of the Mathematical Modeling and Simulation Research Unit under the Centre of Excellence in Mathematics; Dr. Yung-Heng Chin (David Chin), President of the Chinese Youth Pioneer Association; and Professor Maneerat Sawatdiwat Na Ayutthaya, Associate Member of the Royal Academy of Thailand.

This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishes a framework for cooperation in various areas, including visits and exchanges of personnel, academics, and administrators; joint academic conferences, seminars, or scientific activities; exchange of information and academic materials; exploring the feasibility of developing joint research projects; and other collaborative activities as mutually agreed upon by both parties.
