The First International Program Committee (IPC) Meeting for ICME-16
The International Congress on Mathematical Education (ICME), the world’s largest conference on mathematics education, is set to return in 2028. The 16th Congress (ICME-16) will take place in Prague, Czech Republic, on July 9–16, 2028, at the O2 Universum, welcoming thousands of participants from across the globe.

Preparations for this prestigious event are already in motion. Following the ICMI Executive Committee meeting on July 5, 2024, the International Program Committee (IPC) was officially established, bringing together distinguished mathematics education experts worldwide. The first onsite IPC meeting will be held in Prague on September 15–19, 2025, marking an important milestone in shaping a dynamic and inclusive scientific program.

IPC members are invited based on their expertise, international experience, and networks, which will play a key role in building the structure and quality of the ICME-16 program. While representing diverse regions, IPC members serve not as national delegates but as contributors to the global mathematics education community. Their collective vision will ensure that ICME-16 continues the tradition of being truly international, innovative, and inclusive.
